Passing Plan Dental
Passing Plan Dental is an institute for dentists based in Canada. As the project manager and product designer, my goal was to design and develop an intuitive online learning platform that would cater to the specific needs of dentists seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge. This case study highlights the UX design process and key considerations that were taken into account to create a user-friendly and engaging platform.
01
Understanding the User Needs:
To begin the project, extensive research and user interviews were conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the target audience, their pain points, and their expectations from an online learning platform. The insights gathered helped in shaping a user-centered design approach.
02
Defining the User Personas:
Based on the research findings, user personas were created to represent different user groups of the platform, including dentists at different stages of their careers, dental students, and practicing professionals seeking continuous education. These personas served as a reference point throughout the design process.
03
Information Architecture and Navigation:
To ensure easy navigation and a seamless user experience, a clear information architecture was established. The platform was divided into two main sections: one for institute managers and another for students. The navigation was designed to be intuitive, allowing users to easily access the desired features and content.
Designing the Landing Page:
The landing page was designed to create a positive first impression and provide a brief overview of the institute's offerings. The design elements, such as visually appealing graphics and concise messaging, aimed to capture the attention of potential users and encourage them to explore further.
Institute Manager Panel:
The institute manager panel was designed to empower administrators with the ability to create and manage courses, upload videos, and track student progress. The interface was kept clean and organized, allowing managers to easily perform their tasks and monitor the overall performance of the institute.
Student Panel:
The student panel was designed to provide a personalized and comprehensive learning experience. Students could view course overviews, purchase courses securely, and access video content. The interface was designed to be visually engaging and user-friendly, ensuring easy navigation and an immersive learning experience.

By conducting user research, defining user personas, establishing an intuitive information architecture, and designing user-friendly interfaces, the platform offers a seamless and engaging learning experience for both institute managers and students. The continuous testing and iterative feedback loop ensured that the final product met the expectations of the target audience and provided value to the dental community.
